Central Park—the lungs of New York City!
Walking through Central Park allows me to feel my body, mind and my feelings while connecting to nature.
In spite of the cold (which caught me by surprise coming from the well-heated room of my city dwelling), I felt the natural and tonic energy; The blue sky. They connected me to my soul even more.
The aliveness of the trees is an invitation to communicate with the natural world and the subtlety of it all gives me a deep sense of belonging a reminder of my true origin! A tree is not a man-made product and has an autonomy proper to its own nature, an oak tree grows differently than a pine tree, yet they share the same ground— mother earth.
In New York City is easy to forget the natural world and how it benefits us. Just think about the contrast of walking through 5th Avenue. In spite of all the beautiful window displays, I cannot help but feel an onslaught on my senses; The lack of space leads to a saturation of visual stimulus and sounds.
Here, the exchange is definitely not in my favor!( Armani Exchange might disapprove!) here the mental energy is exhausted and it is difficult to be discriminated when the assaults on your senses are so prevalent!
To me “Soul Cycle” “operations don’t offer a genuine connection to the soul, in fact, I feel the soul connection is missing in the darkness of the room and the loudness of the music being played. I would rather cycle freely in the park any day!
Now you may wonder why do I choose to live in such a big city!
Well...I love the contrast between nature and the concrete buildings this close juxtaposition is very dynamic and creative and that is what New York City is all about!
